A woman best understands another's pain and yet it is a woman who sees through another's deviousness and petty manipulations. Tears Come In Handy:
Crocodile tears streaming down satin cheeks might melt the male heart but rarely does too get beyond a certain point on other women. Why? That is because the fairer sex knows that tears come easy to some of their sisters. Scold them and a thousand rivers flow. They snivel into their hankies, dupattas or pallus. Moppy women are ted read more »
Dr. Rajesh Talwar, one of the accused in the now famous NOIDA double murder case was arrested on May 23rd and has since then been in custody. Although he is produced in court every now and then, bail is always denied on the pretext that further questioning is needed or various tests still need to be done. Guilty or not, even before anything is conclusively pinned on him, he has spent a month and more in jail and who knows how long he will have to stay.

For the past 2-3 weeks, there has been one issue that has dominated much of media attention in India. That singular issue is the Nuclear Deal between US and India. Now, everyone knows what I feel about the Left, but this time strangely I agree with them that India should not sign the deal as it is not in India's interest to do so, though I have strong factual reasons to do so unlike the more ideologically bent opposition of the Left.
The reason why this post comes so late in the read more »
I’ll rate the movie, just for you, against my will: 3.5/10. I won’t tell you why. That’s for you to find out.
*** WARNING SPOILERS ***
The movie starts with this guy sleeping on a sidewalk bench, snoring, drunk out of his stocking cap, macho-ising big-ass, Burger King’s burger-sized sunglasses. Everyone called her Aarti Aunty. She stood tall, with an elegant posture. Like a true Punjabi, she had the milky white complexion and a flawless skin even at the age of 60. And this was complemented by the features that could have well helped her to be a part of the fashion or glamor industry. But what was more important than all this was her ever smiling face, with which she brought life to any gathering and a sunshine cheer wherever she went. She had the ability to cook for any number of peo

We all love to bash Bollywood because the industry is in the habit of plagiarizing. In fact the very name ‘Bollywood’ is so insulting that I wonder why those who work in Bollywood don’t feel ashamed that they are working in an industry with a name that implies that it is a Hollywood clone. Could [...]

I want the right to buy counterfeit goods. I will launch into a detailed argument shortly, but first, I will tell you why this post came about. The New York Times’s city blog had a recent article about an ad campaign on NYC pay phones, which tells you why buying counterfeit goods is bad. Apparently, it’s because you are supporting child labor, drug trafficking, organized crime and even worse. And what, pray, is the “even worse”? The ad itself doesn't say, but the New Y

Angrezi Hatao! or "Down With English!" was once a very potent slogan in the fifties and the sixties. It was part of a political campaign which made the destiny of many politicians of the time on either side of the language divide. Prominent names who come to mind as leaders in the Hatao movement are Ram Manohar Lohia and former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, then with the Bharatiya Jan Sangh. The country had gained independence from the British and the English language was
